Communications consultancy:
We work with clients providing a range of strategic communications expertise including message development, communication audits, digital strategy, and internal communications.
In-house support
In addition to providing freelance support remotely, we can also work in-house with your team providing day-to-day communications support and resources to your organisation.
Writing:
Our specialty is turning organisational and technical language into digestible, plain English language. The Real Article puts creative flair into documents to promote your organisation and services.
Editing:
You may have written something already, but it’s not quite hitting the spot with your clients, or is failing to get your message across. The Real Article will review what you have written and modify the materials to suit your needs and objectives. With a simple tweak you will find your publications get the response you were after.
Proofreading:
There’s nothing worse than discovering your new, professionally designed document has a ‘typo’ in it. The Real Article can provide fresh eyes to look over your document – finding misspelt words, errant apostrophes and inconsistent line spacing.
Who we are
The Real Article is the brainchild and creative outlet for Waikato-based communications consultant Kirsten Rose. With more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, Kirsten has provided communications consultancy, writing, editing, and proofreading services for a range of public and private sector companies across myriad industries including agriculture, environmental management, energy, film, recorded music, manufacturing, healthcare, science, ICT, and education; and has won international awards for integrated reporting. The Real Article has been appointed to the All-of-Government Creative and Media Services Panel as a preferred provider of copywriting and editing services for the New Zealand Government and its associated organisations (2024-28).
From time to time The Real Article contracts other writers, editors, proofreaders, designers, printers, communications consultants, information, communication and technology (ICT) professionals and advertising managers whose experiences and expertise add to The Real Article’s mix of services.
