Kerri has worked in a variety of roles within the communications industry over the past 10 years and brings a wealth of experience in the fields of journalism, advertising, media planning and public relations to The Real Article.

After completing her journalism training at the Auckland University of Technology in 2001, Kerri worked in the newsrooms at Newstalk ZB and 3 News before taking up a full-time role as Assistant Editor for fashion magazine Pulp.

Two years later Kerri changed direction and entered the world of advertising, firstly as an Advertising Executive at Adcorp and then as a Media Buyer and Planner at Spark Media. 

Career aspirations took her to London where she spent over two years working at one of the UK’s top media agencies, MediaCom, as a Media Manager. She was lured home to take on a role as Media Director at OMD in Wellington. 

Kerri then took a career break which saw her spend time in India doing a yoga teacher training course. She returned to Wellington compelled to reignite her passion for writing, proofreading, and communications work, and has worked as a communications contractor ever since.

The Real Article provides the perfect outlet for Kerri’s communications experience, while still being able to enjoy quality time with her family, yoga and the great New Zealand way of life.
